Bristol Maps

The city is located in South-West England, in the county of the same name. Bristol is well-connected to many major cities and tourist destinations by both, road and rail, such as:
  • Bath (21 km / 13 miles - south-east)
  • Cardiff (72 km / 45 miles - west)
  • London (169 / 105 miles - east)
  • Oxford (137 km / 85 miles - north-east)
  • Weston Super Mare (39 km / 24 miles - south-west).
Bristol is in a limestone area, which runs from the Mendip Hills to the south and the Cotswolds to the northeast. The rivers Avon and Frome cut through this limestone to the underlying clays, creating Bristol's characteristic hilly landscape. The Avon River separates the south of Wales of Bristol. Initially a small Saxon village became the prosperous medieval Brigstow and later named Bristol as the city developed its international trade in cloth and wine.
